A Joshua Tree man was arrested Monday afternoon after he fought with his girlfriend. According to the Sheriff’s Department, neighbors heard a woman screaming for help and things breaking from a house in the 61800 block of Verbena Road about 3:15 p.m. A Sheriff’s investigation found that Jeromy Bunyard and his girlfriend were arguing and Bunyard began pushing his girlfriend out of the house. When the woman grabbed Bunyard, they lost their balance and fell against a refrigerator, causing a plate to fall off the top of it onto the woman’s head. When the deputy searched Bunyard, he found shotgun shells in his belt. Jeromy Bunyard was arrested for investigation of felony spouse abuse and being a felon in possession of ammunition. Jeromy Bunyard was booked into the Morongo Basin Jail with his bail set at $50,000.
