JOSHUA TREE MAN ARRESTED AFTER ATV CHASE

A Joshua Tree man was arrested early Tuesday morning after he led a deputy on a chase while driving an all-terrain vehicle. According to a Sheriff’s report, a deputy attempted to make a traffic stop on an ATV, driven by Michael Martin, 27, in Joshua Tree about 11:20 p.m. Martin allegedly accelerated and fled at a high rate of speed before finally stopping near East Parkway and Plaza Road. Michael Martin was arrested for driving while intoxicated, misdemeanor failure to yield, and on a warrant for vehicle theft. He was booked into the West Valley Detention Center and is being held without bail.
