A Joshua Tree man was accused of elder abuse Tuesday after he attacked an older man. According to a Sheriff’s report, Carlos Guzman, 45, became irate and made accusations against his much older roommate. Witnesses said Guzman pushed the man to the ground and sat on him, which gave the victim lacerations to his forehead and nose. Carlos Guzman was arrested for investigation of elder abuse, booked into the Morongo Basin Jail, with his bail set at $50,000.
