A Joshua Tree man was arrested for child abuse Thursday. According to a Sheriff’s report, a mandated reporter notified the Sheriff’s Department that a child came to school with a bruise on his forehead. The child allegedly said that Joshua Knecht, 43, of the 62700 block of La Crescentia Drive, punched him in the head. After an investigation, Knecht was arrested for child abuse and on several open arrest warrants. He was booked into the Morongo Basin Jail with bail set at $125,000.
