A Joshua Tree man was arrested Wednesday, accused of beating up his mother. About 3:30 a.m. Wednesday, the victim told deputies that she and Joseph Eastman, 35, were arguing about him leaving the house in the 6100 block of Onaga Trail. The woman said Eastman pushed her and she fell, at which time he stomped on her multiple times. Eastman then left the residence and deputies located him in the open desert. Joseph Eastman was arrested for assault, booked into the West Valley Detention Center, with his bail set at $50,000.
