A Joshua Tree man was arrested Saturday evening after he beat up a woman. According to a Sheriff’s report, Joshua Steiger, 32, and a woman were arguing about 7:20 p.m. Saturday in the 61700 block of Oleander in Joshua Tree. The report states that the woman tried to grab some grapes in a bowl Steiger was holding when he grabbed her finger and bent it backward, and then punched her three times. Joshua Steiger was arrested for investigation of assault with serious injuries and domestic battery, booked into the Morongo Basin Jail, with his bail set at $125,000.
