A Joshua Tree man was arrested, accused of assaulting another man with a light bulb. Deputies were called to the 61600 block of Fountain Boulevard in Joshua Tree about 5:30 p.m. Monday for a disturbance. The deputy learned that Thomas Pratt, 27, had been driving recklessly and crashed his vehicle near Fountain Boulevard and Avenida del Sol. A man at the scene said that for unknown reasons, Pratt had started to fight him, and then took a 3-foot-long fluorescent light bulb and hit the victim in the head with it, shattering the light bulb. The victim sustained cuts to the head. Thomas Pratt was arrested on suspicion of assault, booked into the Morongo Basin Jail, with his bail set at $50,000.
