A Joshua Tree man was arrested Tuesday, accused of assault and resisting arrest. According to a Sheriff’s report, a friend was trying to talk to Carl Queen, 25, about his mental health, in the 57400 block of 29 Palms Highway. His friend called deputies for help about 9:30 after he said that Queen threatened to kill him and he feared for his life. Queen fought with arriving deputies and was subsequently arrested for resisting arrest and assault. Carl Queen was booked into the Morongo Basin Jail with his bail set at $50,000.
