The Joshua Tree Branch Library will host an artist talk and reception featuring Jenifer Palmer-Lacy on Saturday, Halloween, October 31, at 12:30. Learn to create the Mexican folk art of papel picado, in which designs are cut from tissue paper. The works of Jenifer Palmer-Lacy are displayed in the Joshua Tree Library and will be on view through December. The “Art Above the Shelves” program is co-sponsored by the Joshua Tree Friends of the Library and the Morongo Basin Cultural Arts Council.
