Community Leader and Joshua Basin Water District Board member Mickey Luckman passed away Sunday night. The Joshua Basin Water District has issued this statement:
With heavy hearts, Joshua Basin Water District announces the sudden passing of longtime Board Member, Mickey Luckman, a valued colleague and dear friend of many in the Joshua Tree community. Recently recognized for her exceptional leadership by the JBWD Board, Director Luckman was a lifelong resident of Joshua Tree, dedicating and donating her endless energy and her professional skills for the betterment of all. “We’ve lost a very important member of our family. Mickey was a driving force for improvements at our District—she had a strong vision, which we will continue to pursue in her memory,” stated Curt Sauer, General Manager. “Our heartfelt condolences are extended to her immediate family.”
