Joshua Tree residents, look around your neighborhood for trash and litter because this Saturday, March 5th is the Greater Joshua Tree Clean Up from 8 a.m. to noon. It’s time to gather up those old tires, that discarded recliner, the ‘no big solar’ protest sign, that old pc monitor or black and white Zenith; then head over to the Morongo Basin Humane Society No kill Animal Shelter on Sun View off Sunfair in Joshua Tree for free disposal. Please, no hazardous materials, batteries, or oversize tires or tires on rims. The Clean Up is financed through county code enforcement and staffed by volunteers. Clean up is limited to Joshua Tree residents, no commercial trash, please have an ID. The free trash collection ends at noon, but discarded electronics may be dropped off until 4 p.m.
