JOSHUA TREE BAND IN CONCERT AFTER WINNING NATIONAL COMPETITION

A Joshua Tree Band will perform after winning a national competition. The band, “Gene Jr. & The Family,” will perform at the National Association of Music Merchants or “NAMM” Show January 23-25 after winning a national competition sponsored by the John Lennon Songwriting Contest. Founded in 1901, the NAMM Show attracts over 95,000 attendees annually. The competition was open to bands in a wide range of genres. In addition to performing in the Grand Plaza at the Anaheim Convention Center, the extensive prize package includes a professional video and a music gear package valued at over $9,000. “This is an amazing opportunity for us and we’re honored,” says Gene Evaro Jr., singer/songwriter for the band. If you cannot attend the NAMM Show, “Gene Jr. & The Family” will be performing free to the public, January 30, at Pappy & Harriet’s in Pioneertown. The band will be going into the studio to record a new album, followed by a spring tour including Nashville, Austin, New Orleans, Denver, and many stops along the way.
