The organizers of the eighth annual Joshua Tree National Park Art Expo have selected 61 pieces of art for the juried exhibition, set for November. The exposition features artwork depicting or inspired by Joshua Tree National Park or its cultural history in three categories: 2-dimensional art, 3-dimensional art, and photography. The exhibition will be on display with works for sale at the historic 29 Palms Art Gallery, November 1-29. The exhibition also will be featured online this year with works offered for sale at www.jtnpARTS.org. The Art Exposition weekend will be a COVID-compliant event Saturday and Sunday, November 7-8, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Jurors were Jim Bagley, Susan Greer, Casey Kiernan, and Terry Lee .
Artworks selected in the 2-D category are by artists: Robert Arnett, Jenny Baham, Judith Bair, Craig Barnes, Bart Baxter, Stephanie Britt, Naomi Brown, Hannah Campbell, Janis Commentz, Mollie Doctrow, Lee Edwards, Marilyn Froggatt, Whitney Gardner, Ton Gillett, Warner V. Graves III, Monica Griffin, Larry Hemmerich, Dennis Johnson, Kay Kaplan, Jenny Slaver Robbins, Mecca Robinson, Debra Saude, Mark Spangenberg, Mark Spicak, Emily Sunez, Alexandra Dawn Taggart, Vivian Torres, Marie VanDorp-Skelly, Steven Wybenga, Brandin Baron, Gregg Ross, Shiela Sasek, and Ehrick Wright.
The 3-D category will feature artwork by: Brandin Baron, Valerie Birkhoff, Christine Huhn, Ed Keesling, Angel LaCanfora, Georgie Ryan, Shiela Sasek, Laurie Schafer, Nichole Vikdal, and Ehrick Wright.
Photography selected for the exhibition features work by: Luciano Demasi, Doug Dolde, Mark Hannah, De Karlen, Bert Mattingly, Dean Mayo, Marilyn McFarlin, Mitch Miller, Robert Miramontes, Chip Morton, Angel R.
