An argument over a boyfriend escalated into a fight and robbery, according to Morongo Basin Sheriff’s deputies. About 2:20 a.m. Monday, Ashlee Thomas, 22, of Fontana, went to a home in the 63600 block of 29 Palms Highway in Joshua Tree to confront the resident about a boyfriend. The resident said Thomas broke into the house, and then fought with the resident. Thomas is accused of vandalizing the home, destroying between $500 and $1000 worth of property, and the resident’s son was also elbowed in the face. Thomas is accused of taking $75 from the resident’s wallet. Ashlee Thomas was arrested for investigation of robbery, booked into the Morongo Basin Jail, with her bail set at $200,000.
