Joshua Springs Lady Lightning softball team beat the visiting Desert Chapel Eagles, 23-9. Coach Lori Ellis said standouts were Eden Dufour for her first infield homer as a freshman and Maile Long for five solid hits helping lead to the win of their first league game.
