The Joshua Springs Lightning football team pummeled the Trona Tornadoes Friday night, 64-14. Both teams were undefeated coming into the game, but the Lightning team, which is ranked number 2 in the state in 8-man football, had a strong running game and forced a fumble and two interceptions. The Lightning football team has back-to-back championship wins in CIF Division 2 for the past two years, and have gone on to play in the finals for the past 10 years. Joshua Springs will host the Eagles from Lancaster Baptist Friday night at home. The Eagles are 10 and 2, and lost to the Lightning 48-8 in September.
