JOSHUA SPRINGS HIGH SCHOOL BASKETBALL CIF RUN COMES TO AN END

Joshua Springs Lightning of Yucca Valley ended their season Monday night, losing the CIF Division 6 semifinal contest to Orangewood Academy, 64-41, at home. Spokesman Adam Everhart said the number 4 seed Lightning were underdogs to the number 1 seed Spartans. Tyler Pascale led the team in scoring, like he has all season, going for 14 on the night. Lightning coaches praised the team afterwards, who plays eight seniors, as the most successful class in Lightning history, with three consecutive 20-win seasons, including a school record 21-4 campaign this year, and three straight trips to CIF semifinals.
