Joshua Kaiser sentenced to 24 years in prison for attempted murder

Joshua Kaiser was sentenced last week. The Johnson Valley man was found guilty of charges related to setting fire to a truck with two people inside.

On Friday (July 26), a judge with San Bernardino County Superior Court Judge Rasheed Alexander sentenced Kaiser to 24 years in state prison.

Kaiser was found guilty of two accounts of attempted murder and two counts of arson causing great bodily injury, and one count of injuring a spouse / girlfriend.

The incident in question took place on June 19th 2023, when Sheriff’s Deputies responded to the Hi Desert Medical Center regarding two burn victims, identified as a 30 year-old male and 29 year-old female, both residents of Yucca Valley. Both victims have since been released from the hospital and continue to recover.
