At tonight’s special 5:30 p.m. meeting of the Joshua Basin Water District the board will consider the collections policy, hear the audit, and review next month’s rate hike. Reporter Mike Lipsitz has more…
A review of the district’s collection policy is near the top of tonight’s 5:30 p.m. agenda after which the board will hear the fiscal 2018-2019 audit report. And on the consent calendar is a review of district-wide rate increases set to go in affect January 1. The increases are part of a multi-year rate structure the board passed last year; it calls for several years of rate increases that will go into effect each January 1. Those items and others will follow public comments. Committee, staff and director’s reports come later. Tonight’s meeting takes place at district offices on Chollita Road in Joshua Tree.
