JOSHUA BASIN WATER SET TO TAKE STEP TOWARDS DISTRICT ELECTIONS

Tonight in Joshua Tree, the Joshua Basin Water District board is expected to take the next step along the path to district-based elections. The board is expected to hold a second reading and adopt the ordinance establishing and implementing district-based elections. Also tonight the board will authorize the retention of Terra Verde to conduct a feasibility study in connection with offsetting electric pumping costs with solar power. And the board will consider approving costs to complete installation of new customer maintenance management software and integration of it with the district’s billing software. Those items and others will follow public comments. Committee, staff and director’s reports come later. Tonight’s meeting takes place at 6:30 p.m. in district offices on Chollita Road in Joshua Tree.
