At tonight’s regular meeting of the Joshua Basin Water District, directors will consider a response to a Project Planning Notice from the County in connection with NextEra Energy’s aim to convert the vacated Joshua Tree Airport into a large scale solar development. Also up for discussion tonight is compensation for district employees, and an increase in new meter installation fees made necessary by the rising costs of doing business. The public is welcome to weigh in on those and other items. It all starts at 7 p.m. at the District office on Chollita Road in Joshua Tree.
