At tonight’s meeting of the Joshua Basin Water District, the top agenda items include the likely authorization to obtain a $3,000,000 loan in order to implement the mainline replacement program. Also tonight, the Board is expected to authorize $1.7 million for the purchase of ten pieces of heavy equipment also in connection with the capital replacement program. Next the board is expected to name an outside contractor to complete a strategic plan for the district, approve new Monday through Thursday office hours, and amend the general manager’s employment contract. Tonight’s meeting starts at 6:30 p.m. at district offices on Chollita Road in Joshua Tree.
