In Joshua Tree tonight, directors of the Joshua Basin Water District are expected to approve $44,000 to fund an update of the district’s ten-year-old wastewater treatment plan. Also tonight, with three-quarters of the district’s 19-year-old water meters under-reporting by two percent on average, the board will likely authorize a million-and-a-half dollars to begin replacing those meters. And among other items, the board will consider adjusting the schedule for those working on the Capital Improvement and Pipe Replacement program in order to maximize productivity and efficiency. It all happens at the district’s offices on Chollita Road in Joshua Tree beginning at 6:30 p.m. this evening.
