JOSHUA BASIN WATER LOOKS AT CHROMIUM 6 FACILITY PLANNING TONIGHT

At tonight’s 7 p.m. meeting of the Joshua Basin Water District, the board will consider how to best to manage anticipated grant funds for the planning and construction of infrastructure to treat chromium-6. A rough, early estimate for the treatment facility’s planning and construction is $18.5 million. Also tonight, the board will hear about the priority setting process for the draft mainline replacement process. Those items and others will precede committee, staff and director’s reports. Tonight’s meeting takes place at District offices on Chollita Road in Joshua Tree.
