The regular meeting of the Joshua Basin Water District was held on the Zoom platform last night. Reporter Mike Lipsitz was there and tells us what happened…
At yesterday’s meeting the board convened a public hearing on standby charges. And while the annual hearing is required by law, those charges have remained unchanged since 1996. No one from the public objected to the rate remaining unchanged for the 24th consecutive year. Also last night, the board heard a presentation entitled “Year in Review and Looking Forward.”
Public information and outreach coordinator Kathleen Radnich reported on the public outreach programs, including efforts to keep ratepayers informed. She also covered the Low-Income Assistance Program which this year delivered a $50 bill credit to nearly 100 district households. A number of other public outreach events planned for this fiscal year were canceled due to COVID 19.
