The Joshua Basin Water District will hold a special meeting at 5:30 p.m. this afternoon. Reporter Mike Lipsitz tells us what’s on the agenda…
When the Joshua Basin Water District convenes a special meeting at 5:30 p.m. later today, the board will consider authorizing the purchase of four Toyota trucks at an approximate total cost of nearly $175,000. Two of the vehicles would be used for production staff, one for field operations and one for use by the general manager. If approved, the board will make the necessary adjustment to the 2019-2020 fiscal budget and, appropriately, that action will be followed by a 2020/2021 budget workshop and current fiscal year mid-term budget review. The only other business tonight is board selection of a representative to sit on the Local Agency Formation Commission’s board.
