At tonight’s meeting of the Joshua Basin Water District, attendees will hear from the Executive Director of Local Agency Formation Commission, Kathleen Rollings-McDonald. Well-known for her candor, knowledge of County Government’s special districts, and powerful position, Rollings-McDonald will overview the role and interactions between the commission she leads and special districts such as the water agency. Then following a public hearing, the board will consider adopting the draft Urban Water Management Plan, and the 2016-17, 17-18 capital and operating budgets. Tonight’s meeting starts at the 6:30 p.m. at district offices on Chollita Road in Joshua Tree.
