Only one resident spoke at last night’s public hearing on the proposed boundaries of five areas, each of which will elect a representative who will serve on the water agency’s governing board. So at the close of the hearing, the board approved the staff recommended voting district maps and moved forward the proposal to adopt the new system of district-based elections. Final approval is expected at the next board meeting and final public hearing set for Wednesday, April 17.
