The fifth and final public hearing on district-based elections is on tap at tonight’s meeting of the Joshua Basin Water District board. Reporter Mike Lipsitz says there much more on the agenda…
At tonight’s 6:30 p.m. public hearing and meeting of the Joshua Basin Water District, the board will likely approve a resolution establishing and implementing district-based elections. Also tonight, the board will hear a report on the costs of succession; that report triggered by expected management changes in the coming months. The board will also likely approve a new job description for the Director of Administration. Directors will also be asked to approve another $240,000 for work at Well 14. Those items, an appointment to the citizen’s advisory committee, and others will follow public comments. Committee, staff and director’s reports come later. Tonight’s meeting takes place at district offices on Chollita Road in Joshua Tree.
