JOSHUA BASIN WATER DISTRICT TO DISCUSS CHANGING TO DISTRICTS AT SPECIAL MEETING TONIGHT

The Joshua Basin Water District meets at 6:30 p.m. this evening for a Special Session and Public Hearing to receive and discuss public input on the district’s potential transition from an “at large” election system to a “district-based” election system. The policy change comes on the heels of a letter threatening legal action should the agency fail to move to district-based elections. Also at tonight’s special meeting, the board will reconsider an employee recognition program. It all happens at the district office on Chollita Road in Joshua Tree.
