Tonight in Joshua Tree, the Joshua Basin Water District Board of Directors meets in open session at 7:00 at District offices on Chollita Road. The open session follows a 6:30 closed session meeting on potential litigation. Among items on the action agenda is a review of Citizens Advisory Committee applications with the possibility of making appointments. The Board is also expected to review the 2012-2013 operational budget and consider an additional $10,000 in expenses. In another action the Board will consider an interpretative educational plan for the District’s Demonstration Garden. And finally, the Board is expected to authorize an indemnity agreement with Mojave Water Agency which is required in order to use a $3 million Proposition 84 grant from California Department of Water Resources for construction of the Ground Water Recharge Basin and Pipeline. Those actions and others will precede staff and director’s reports.
