At tonight’s 7 p.m. meeting of the Joshua Basin Water District, directors will consider a number of items including use of a search firm to assist in recruiting a new General Manager. The board is also likely to approve a memorandum of understanding with the local chapter of the American Federation of State, County and Municipal Employees. That expected action is in anticipation of upcoming contract negotiations. Bad debt and the likely write-off of approximately $28,000 also will be discussed. Later, the Joshua Basin Water Board board will consider approval of an applicant for the Citizen’s Advisory Committee. It all happens at District offices on Chollita Road in Joshua Tree.
