The Joshua Basin Water District Board of Directors meet at 7 o’clock tonight at agency offices on Chollita Road in Joshua Tree. Among the items on tonight’s action agenda, the board is expected to issue a memorandum of understanding with the Joshua Tree Chamber of Commerce regarding water supply to the proposed Turtle Island demonstration garden. Directors may also authorize the District to apply for a $250,000 Department of Water Resources grant for a monitoring well at the ground water recharge site. Following those possible actions and others, the directors will adjourn to closed session.
