The Joshua Basin Water District issued a “boil order” Friday morning, warning its water customers to boil tap water for drinking or cooking purposes. A water main pipe broke Thursday night, and as a safety precaution, residents are urged to either use bottled water, and not drink tap water without boiling it first. Water should be brought to a boil for one minute and cooled before using. Boiled or bottled water should be used for all drinking and food preparation until further notice. More information about disinfecting tap water can be found on the Joshua Basin Water District website, jbwd.com, or in the phone book.
