At the final meeting of 2018, the water district serving Joshua Tree saw a number of changes take place on the dais. Reporter Mike Lipsitz was there…
Last night in Joshua Tree, a board reorganization at the Joshua Basin Water District saw long time Board President Mickey Luckman pass the gavel to seasoned Director Bob Johnson. Newly re-elected Rebecca Unger took over as Board Vice President, and Mike Reynolds reclaimed his seat on the dais following a two-year hiatus. Turning to district business and tasked with updating the administrative code, the board decided to hold one or more weekend workshops with management in order to review and update the district’s codified standard operating procedures. Also last night, the board received and filed a report on capacity fees which confirmed the obvious: that development in the district is ramping up. There will be no board meeting January 2; the board next meets January 16.
