Joshua Basin Water Board Director Frank Coate resigned to give himself a chance at the general manager’s job. Reporter Mike Lipsitz said the board will spend their meeting tonight adjusting to Coate’s resignation…
In response to the resignation of Director Frank Coate two weeks ago, the Joshua Basin Water District Board is expected to decide how to fill the vacancy, whether by appointment or through a special election. Also at tonight’s 7 p.m. meeting, directors will likely select projects to be submitted for the updated Mojave Water Agency Integrated Regional Water Management Plan, reassign board responsibilities in response to Director Coate’s resignation, and hear a report from Conservation Coordinator Deb Bollinger. It all happens at District offices on Chollita Road in Joshua Tree.
