A special joint meeting of the Joshua Basin Water District Board of Directors and the agency’s Citizen Advisory Committee will convene at 6 p.m. tonight at district offices on Chollita Road in Joshua Tree. After dispensing with routine items on the consent agenda, directors and citizen advisors together will hear a presentation from an outside consultant on the district’s water rate structure along with recommendations for rate changes in the years ahead. The regular alternating Wednesday board meeting schedule will resume next week.
