JOSHUA BASIN WATER CONSIDERS PANDEMIC POLICY

The Joshua Basin Water District’s Board of Directors meet tonight at 6:30 p.m. again on the online Zoom virtual platform. Here’s reporter Mike Lipsitz with agenda highlights and instructions for you to view or listen and comment…

At tonight’s teleconferenced meeting of the Joshua Basin Water District, directors will consider approving a pandemic policy for inclusion in the employee handbook. The policy will include provisions specific to the coronavirus as well as future pandemics. The portions specific to COVID-19 will sunset when Governor Newsom lifts the present state of emergency. In other business, the board will consider a $23,500 software upgrade aimed at enhancing district security and communication at various locations. And among other items, the board will likely form a COVID-19 ad hoc committee to meet until the state’s “Stay at Home” order has been lifted.

There will be no location for attending in person. Members of the public who wish to comment on the agenda may submit their views via email two hours in advance of tonight’s meeting.
