At last night’s meeting of the Joshua Basin Water District, the board considered worst-case scenarios as far as financing chromium-6 mitigation efforts. The exercise was seen as quite useful, but also a requirement of some loan and grant applications. Also last night, the board reviewed a draft plan for evaluating, prioritizing and scoring district infrastructure as as a run-up mainline replacements. Under conservation, Joshua Tree ratepayers have reduced water consumption 26.8 percent since the governor’s drought emergency plan went into effect.
