JOSHUA BASIN WATER BOARD MEETS, UNION AGREEMENT EXPECTED

The Joshua Basin Water District meets tonight. Reporter Mike Lipsitz tells us what’s on the agenda…
At tonight’s meeting of the Joshua Basin Water District, the board is expected to pass a resolution objecting to the County’s sale of a tax defaulted property so that the water district might use the site for a reservoir. Next, the board is expected to ratify a three-year agreement with local 1902; that action to be followed by a related resolution granting the same Union-negotiated wage increases to non-union personnel. Those items and others will precede standing committee, staff and director reports and routine items on the consent agenda/after which the board will adorn to closed session for a matter involving real property. It all starts at the 6:30 p.m. at the Joshua Basin Water District offices on Chollita Road in Joshua Tree.
