JOSHUA BASIN WATER BOARD MEETS TONIGHT

At tonight’s 6:30 p.m. meeting of the Joshua Basin Water District, the board will convene public hearing number four to receive and discuss public input on the proposed maps that will carve up the district into five sections, each to be represented by a board member from that section. Also tonight, the first reading of the proposed ordinance that will move the water agency from an “at-large” to a “district-based” election system. Those items and others will follow public comments. Tonight’s meeting takes place at district offices on Chollita Road in Joshua Tree.
