A full agenda awaits the Joshua Basin Water District’s governing board when they meet at 6:30 p.m. tonight. Reporter Mike Lipsitz tells us what to expect…
Among the first items of business, the board will consider the appointment of Joshua Tree merchant and tattoo artist, Gayle Austin, to the Citizens Advisory Committee. Later, directors will consider giving the green light for staff to apply for a grant-funded solar power feasibility study; staff will also be looking for direction in connection with the ongoing rate study; and the board will look to the general manager for an overview of the audited financial statement for the fiscal year which ended in June, and for an update on completion of the Hazard Mitigation and Emergency Response plans. Those items and others will follow public comments. Committee, staff and director’s reports come later. Tonight’s meeting begins at 6:30 p.m. sharp at the district offices on Chollita Road in Joshua Tree.
