A busy agenda awaits directors at tonight’s meeting of the Joshua Basin Water District. The board is expected to approve a resolution, revised from the last meeting and clarifying the general manager’s authority to expend funds in an emergency. Among other items on tonight’s agenda, the board will receive the latest information and provide direction for the ongoing rate study, then directors will consider two agreements with the Mojave Water Agency. The first related to transfer of ownership for an orphaned section of pipe; the second related to a water storage agreement. Tonight’s meeting starts at 6:30 p.m. at the Helen Gray Education Center at Hi-Desert Medical Center in Joshua Tree.
