At last night’s special meeting, the board considered and adopted a resolution directing the general manager to execute a 22-month memorandum of understanding with the American Federation of State, County, & Municipal Employees. Directors also approved a revised employer-employee organization relations resolution, also a new employee handbook, and a revised compensation plan for management, supervisory, and confidential employees. The board also adopted an employee wellness program which aims to motivate staff to adopt more healthy lifestyles.
