The Joshua Basin Water District board meets in regular session tonight. Reporter Mike Lipsitz says the board will look at their assistance policy and capacity fee…
At tonight’s meeting of the Joshua Basin Water District, the board will consider an adjustment to the district’s policy for assisting customers who experience sudden and excessively high water charges as a result of a leak or otherwise unknown origin. The proposed policy will abandon a somewhat convoluted formula for determining the level of assistance and replace it with a flat 25 percent discount. Also tonight, directors are expected to receive and file an annual capacity fee report. Tonight’s meeting starts at 6:30 p.m. at district offices on Chollita Road in Joshua Tree.
