At tonight’s meeting of the Joshua Basin Water District, the board will consider an adjustment to the district’s policy for assisting customers who experience sudden and excessively high water charges as a result of a leak or otherwise unknown origin. The proposed policy will abandon a somewhat convoluted formula for determining the level of assistance and replace it with a flat 25 percent discount. Also tonight, directors are expected to receive and file an annual capacity fee report. Tonight’s meeting starts at 6:30 p.m. at district offices on Chollita Road in Joshua Tree.
