A Johnson Valley man was arrested Wednesday night, accused of punching and biting his girlfriend. According to a Sheriff’s report, a deputy was called to the 50100 block of Golden Ray Road in Johnson Valley about 9 p.m. because a man, identified as Cody Sansbury, 40, came to get his belongings and then wouldn’t leave the location. The resident at the home had a restraining order against Sansbury. When the deputy arrived, the victim had a large purple bruise around her eye and a bite mark on her right wrist, that she said were inflicted by Sansbury. Cody Sansbury was arrested for investigation of felony spouse abuse, booked into the Morongo Basin Jail, with his bail set at $50,000.
