Johnson Valley Improvement Association meeting and dinner tonight (11/5)

UPDATE: There will not be an AED demonstration after the dinner as previously reported. The JVIA sent out this update:

“Contrary to the JV NEWS report on Thursday, Justin Merino is NOT scheduled to demo AED emergency procedures after the dinner this evening.

He has a previous commitment that can’t be changed.”


The Johnson Valley Improvement Association meets this Saturday November 5th – show up early at 6PM for a traditional turkey dinner with a TWIST – Turkey Enchiladas Casserole – add rice and beans, a green salad and pumpkin pie for dessert and you have a delicious pre-meeting feast that is only $10 per person, or $5 for kids 10 and under.

After the dinner festivities, stay for an important demonstration of how to use an Automated External Defibrillator (or AED) should an emergency arise. These portable life saving devices are designed to treat somebody experiencing sudden cardiac arrest – and when used in conjunction with CPR can be instrumental in saving someone’s life in the first few minutes of a cardiac event The Johnson Valley Improvement Association has an AED on hand in their community center.

There will also be discussions about the December Craft Fair and other Johnson Valley updates – you don’t have to be a member of the JVIA to attend.
