The Paul Van Hook Desert Dreams garden at the Johnson Valley Community Center is expanding. Volunteers are adding a new larger loop to the G-scale garden railway. The larger locomotives and long train cars dictate wider curves and a sturdy roadbed. The plan is to enhance the expanded railroad with a replica Big Boy steam locomotive and also a Southern Pacific Daylight passenger train.
