If you’re wondering where to go for the Jewish High Holidays, you’re in luck: The Jewish Federation of Palm Springs and the Desert Area is sponsoring free observances open to residents of Desert Hot Springs and the Morongo Basin.
Services for Rosh Hashanah, the Jewish New Year, will be held 7 p.m. October 2, and 10 a.m. October 3; while Yom Kippur services are set for 7 p.m. October 11 and 10 a.m. October 12.
Memorial Yizkor and concluding services start at 4 p.m. on Yom Kippur, followed by a break-the-fast meal in the dining room of Desert Hot Springs’ Mission Lakes Country Club where all the events will be held.
