For the last two weeks, soldiers from the Japanese Ground Self-Defense Force and U.S. Marines from the 11th Marine Expeditionary Unit have been training at Camp Pendleton in amphibious operations and small unit skills. On Friday, February 12, about 200 Japanese Defense Forces and 400 Marines will move to the Combat Center at Twentynine Palms to continue their training in Phase III of the Iron Fist exercise. The exercise will consist of larger, more complex company-sized training. Videos and photos of the joint training exercise at Camp Pendleton can be seen with this story at Z1077fm.com.
